One of India's most distinguished Kathak performers.
She began her talim at the age of four in the Lucknow gharana, and trained under Guru Pandit Ramnarayan Mishra, Shrimati Maya Chatterjee and Pandit Vijay Shankar. Under Birju Maharaj she revived the Katha Shaili of Kathak. She has centers in Kolkata, Kerala and Geneva.
